My background and experience
I started my career in law in 2001 as a trainee at Hammonds. That was followed by five years at Watson, Farley & Williams LLP and ten years at Greenberg Traurig, LLP in their respective competition and regulatory practices.
I was attracted to competition law as a student because it offered a heady mix of law, politics and economics, with an overlay of social and commercial understanding. These factors are particularly present in my other area of expertise – the regulation of the water sector in England and Wales.
My skillset is well suited to assisting clients in these areas. I am seen as both a lateral and commercial thinker who can assimilate facts quickly, think on my feet and provide advice not just on the pure legal issues but also on the wider strategic and business implications.
I have built a strong reputation for being able to communicate effectively and lead complex discussions in a highly accessible way across multi-level and multi-disciplined teams covering in-house counsel, senior executive teams, and company boards through to the operational and front line staff.
